Perhaps most odd is the large amount of space devoted to her obsession over a reporter named Anita Busch. Busch was just one of several crime victims listed in the trial memo, (a must read if Finke had the guts to post it) and Busch’s name surfaces nearly 70 pages deep into this tomb. Yet Finke hypes her as getting most of the ink. It’s just not true. 80% of the trial memo is evidentiary. Professional jealousy, perhaps? And dovetailing an old column Finke penned on Busch from years ago is just plain crass. Does she peddle toy rifles in Dealey Plaza, too?

This case isn’t about money. Its about power and ego, vengeance and destroying the lives of average people trying to make a living. It’s Halderman/Nixon 101. Finke is old enough to remember Watergate and the Plumbers. but she’s clearly playing the role of Martha Mitchell.
