Most of his celebrity clients have denied knowing anything about the allegedly illegal activity.

Trial watchers are anticipating lively confrontations when Pellicano cross-examines his former clients.

Selective prosecution isn't a legal defense and therefore it's not something that can be argued to the jury. Pellican is probably hoping to implicitly raise it anyway and therefore get some sympathy from the jury but it is very unlikely this tactic will work (especially with him representing himself). As far as the government charging Fields and the rest, without Pellicano testifying against them the government could never have proved a conspiracy case against them. Did they know Pellicano was breaking the law? Sure. Was it provable beyond a reasonable dout? No way in hell

ovitz and fields and grey and everyone else who hired the pelican knew he was breaking many laws all over the place to get them the dirt they wanted. it's outrageous that the feds aren't prosecuting those who hired anthony.

they paid him to dig for dirt and find dirt but now they all claim they never knew he was breaking laws to get them this information. total crap. they knew exactly what he was up to they simply chose to look the other way.

bert fields especially knew what was going on and how pellicano was getting exactly what bert wanted and for fields to claim otherwise is ridiculous. same with ovitz.

apparently the feds want to use ovitz, fields and grey as proseuction witnesses but they should be charged as well under conspiracy statutes. they were complicit with the wiretapping and knew about it as it was ongoing.

if pellicano is smart he'll make this clear to the jury and tell them he is being singled out for prosecution which is probably his best defense. the government is engaging in selective prosecution and if anthony can make this clear to the jury he could walk.
