I know there have been lots of rumors to this effect in celebrity mags and infotainment shows. But one of my reliable TV business sources is hearing that Tori Spelling is going to be in the Beverly Hills, 90210 spinoff just picked up by the CW. Well, it's official: 90210 is ruined. Please, Les and Barry, reconsider! (Or did Aaron Spelling demand this in his will?)

Well i think we should hope for the best and Tori Spelling’s character will be killed in the pilot…
Now that would be the way to kick off a series premiere…
Now that i WOULD watch !!

I won’t be watching this series as long as Rob Thomas is even remotely attached to it. The man is a hack and ran Veronica Mars into the ground, yet people continue to hire him and feed his ego. How many viewers did Veronica have before it was axed?

You GOTTA have Tori…actually they should invite the entire old cast. That would be hella cool. I hope they use the original theme song. LOL. For real. no joke. LOL.

Jennie Garth was one of the most beloved actresses and characters on that series. Tori, was put up with. Tori’s image since that show went off the air has been reduced to a series of bad reality shows with her barefoot and pregnant living in a trailer in Fallbrook at one point. Far from the glitz of 90210-land.
Reconsider Moonves. Barry, since you’re getting 1/2 of this potential money marker, franchise now controlled by CBS Paramount (or is that CBS Studios as I keep hearing whispers of a name change…) and iron clad in the CW/Warners/CBS which each own 1/2 of each pilot made bullshhheeaatt. Yah, we’ll see how long the show, and frankly this network and marriage last.

I’m fairly sure it’s not in any way possible to ruin a 90210 re-do.

Rob Thomas only pitched the idea & has since backed out & no longer has anything to do with it from what I hear.
Sigh……. @ Whori Spelling casting terrible news she is gonna ruin the show.

Screw you…Tori is the sweetest thing…and I know I speak for myself and MANY others when I say that we are HAPPY she might in on this!

Not sure I understand the Tori hate. I always thought her awkward, self-conscious acting on 90210 was genius in a way. It made her the only cast member believable as a teenager.

I like her. She’s a good actress. Seriously. It’s too easy to cut her down.

it is too easy to cut here down, agreed. She’s not TERRIBLE… just not interesting. Garth is awesome casting, Endeavor made the right call.

I love Tori, and if you read her new book, you will love her too. She added alot to that show, and her quicky shyness worked for the show. Even if you did some reality shows, which had high ratings, she is one of the few 90210 characters that have done thing since the show. DONNA MARTIN GRADUATES

Tori is awesome! Have you not seen Notorious, House of Yes or Trick? I also agree that she was the most believable on 90210. No more Tori hate. Come to Columbus, OH where you are loved.

personally im not sure that i will watch the spin off becasue it would be like a totally different show.. lets face it, most of the original characters are not coming back so what’s the point of watching 90210 without the 90210 characters? i don’t see that there is

Anyone who says Tori’s character was the most believable must have been either high or nine years old when they watched the original. First of all, how many girls do you know who are a vigin until 21? As far as realistic characters are concerned, Shannen Doherty was the only decent actress on the show. A lot of people hated her character Brenda, but it was waaaay more realistic than Donna. Brenda had sex at 16, smoked cigarettes, defied her parents repeatedly while sneaking around with Dylan, and eventually ended up in jail in her final season. She made real mistakes that had real consequences….far from the charmed and wholesome life of her friend Donna Martin, whose problems seemed to be minimal during the high school years. Seeing Tori strung out on painkillers in the 8th season, and swiping a bottle of 1000 vicodin from her father’s doctor office….now that was fun!!!

Wow, not only was the character of Brenda a beeyotch, but so was Shannen. The whole cast wanted her off the show because she was completely unprofessional and intolerable. I will not watch the show if she comes back. And as far as Tori goes, I think she’s a sweetheart, but my decision to watch the show wouldn’t be based on her.
