NOW ... I don't want to hear one YAP out of ANY OF YOU that (in a whiny tone) "I hate Hollywood ... all they ever make is movies with SPECIAL EFFECTS.

Well - here it is - you've had over 2 MONTHS of films (and that's a LOT of movies) with almost no special visual effects in them --- and what did YOU do? You ignored the movie theaters. You stayed home. And even when Tina Fey makes a comedy... do you all come out and give it a $40 million weekend? No - a FEW of you come out of your homes, enough to give it a pathetic $18.2 million. Next week IRON MAN comes out and watch it go through the roof with over $40 mil in ticket sales.

The point is clear: All the people who complain that Hollywood only makes movies with special effects that appeal to GEN X - well, they do it for one simple reason: They make money. They get people into movie theaters. And you other folks who like to complain about "those tons & tons of special effects movies" Hollywood makes . . . YOU ARE ALL HYPOCRITES.

GET THIS: if all the women (and yes, it's primarily women) REALLY supported the story-driven, no visual effects, "adult" movies ... then the last 2 months would have been the biggest money-making time of the year. Half the population are women. They're always clanking that there's "no movies for them."

But you ignored movie theaters over the last 2 months, making it one of the worst quarter in years. Well, here's what you deserve: LOTS of Special Effects movies, because people (guys, maybe?) come out for them. BECAUSE these movies get folks out of their homes to come to the theater and put their money where their mouth is. They don't just talk about the kind of movies they like - THEY SUPPORT THEM & ATTEND THEM.

So next time you feel like complaining that Hollywood isn't making adult product (without those F*@KING special effects) - well, they're making those kind of films because Hollywood has your number: you're a person who likes whine and WOULDN'T COME OUT TO SEE A MOVIE - ANY MOVIE - at any time.

Bottom line: YOU DON'T DESERVE THE KIND OF FILMS YOU WANT BECAUSE YOU DON'T SUPPORT THEM. And I laugh at you every time I hear a jerk/moron like you bitch about the "quality" of films out there. You've sent your message to Hollywood and Hollywood is listening - and forgetting about you.

Why is it always presumed that when a comedy does well these days, it must be because people want to escape the miserable world? Could it just be that they wanted to see that particular movie?

I went to see Sarah Marshall, and I can assure you, it wasn't because I was sick of the election news or oil prices or the falling dollar or the mortgage crisis or global warming.

Let's See: Tiny Fey, Amy Poller, Harold/Kumar, Sarah Marshall... How has comedy turned to women demeaning men as a big hit. Fellas, you need to get your manhood back.
