Thank you SAG for announcing your waivers for indepdentdent films. It's the first and only smart thing you've accomplished in strategic negotiation tactics since well before the resolution of the WGA debacle. The SAG indie waivers are still been under-publicized by the trades becasue the studios and networks don't want it to hugely effect their negotiation with you. Thank God for Nikki Finke! As an indie producer who's already been granted the waiver, I rejoice anew from the sidelines. What a welcome window of opportunity you've created for me and those like me. I lament the continued public battle among the actors unions which will do neither SAG nor AFTRA any good, but kudos to SAG and shame on the trades for failing to shine a light on your smartest move yet.
